  • They have become ill with yellow fever and now they are dead
  • Yellow Fever Out Break
  • Massive Huricanes
  • James-town is Destroyed
  • While on the ship the colonists were faced with yellow fever and they did not have the technology to get well. Some of the symptoms were Fever, Headache, aches, Nausea, vomiting, Dizziness. Also Yellow skin and eyes,stomach pain, Bleeding from nose/ mouth/eyes, Liver/kidney failure,Brain damage, seizures/coma. Was very fatal
  • De La Warr puts them to work
  • There were massive hurricanes with roaring winds, towering/crashing waves, fierce lightning and monstrous thunder storms. The hurricanes destroyed ships.
  • John Rolfe marries Pocahontas
  • I do!
  • When the settlers came to jamestown it was destroyed the houses were torn and burned down. Many people were forced to burn their houses down to keep them warm, during the harsh winter months.
  • Pocahontas dies
  • Lord De La Warr came to a broken colony that was not thriving ,or working. So he put the colonist to work had them cleaning, fixing, and rebuilding their colony so it thrives.
  • John Rolfe (English tobacco farmer) and Pocahontas (an indian daughter of the chief Powhatan) fell in love and decided to get married. This decision of marriage created peace between the english and the indians.
  • On March 1617, Pocahontas boarded a ship to Virginia but not that far into the trip she got really sick either pneumonia or tuberculosis. She had her funeral on March 21, 1617.
