  • The assassination came from a plan to kidnap Lincoln to trade the north for their POWs. But the plan merged into an assassination
  • John Wilkes Booth assassinated President Lincoln on April 15, 1865, Peterson House in Washington D.C. Booth went up behind Lincoln and shot him in the back of the head. 
  • After shooting Lincoln, Booth Jumped on the stage and broke his leg. Limping, Booth fled to a Virginia farm to hide from the Union Soldiers. But 12 days after the assassination, he was found and killed by the soldiers
