Storyboard Text

  • Hey everyone, my name is Bill and I am a baseball player here to talk to you about therapies and biomedical drugs.
  • Psychodynamic therapy is a form of verbal treatment that helps patient’s find relief from mental or emotional stress like a weight room for my stress
  • Client-centered therapy is a humanistic approach focusing on the human need for self-actualization and emphasizes healthy psychological growth, like how my muscles grow when I stretch.
  • Behavioral therapy is learning and conditioning to change and eliminate behavioral patterns, like I  have learned to not stay up late because I have to ride the bus in the morning.
  • Exposure therapy involves the exposure of the patient to the feared object or context without any danger to overcome that fear, like my fear of fire.
  • Virtual Reality Exposure uses realistic fake aversive stimuli to increase stress resilience and control negative symptoms, like my symptoms of anxiety when I see water because of PTSD.
