When you are being peer pressured, there are many ways to deal with it. 1. A Simple No
Psst.Hey kid. Wanna smoke?
2. Give an excuse
Well, my Mom is calling me. Guess I better go home. BYE!
3. Change the subject
What hair dresser do you have? Your hair looks amazing!
4. Ignore the person
Kid. Are you even listening?
5. Avoid the situation
When dealing with peer pressure, you have to be assertive, speak and behave with confidence, rather than passive, not being able to stand up for your rights, or else people will take advantage of you. But you also cannot be aggressive, forceful or pushy, or this may cause more conflict resulting in someone getting hurt. There are also benefits from being tobacco free: 1. Your friends won't feel pressured around you 2. You'll have clean breath 3. You'll save money by not buying tobacco products 4. You will be in better health (free from risks) 5. You won't get addicted to the nicotine in the products
