  • Amazing we might find gold at last, settle the ship their now!
  • Hernado DeSoto and his crew settled the ship near the new found land and went to go explore.
  • Captain  we have just find land of shore, should we go and check?
  • DeSoto and his crew were shocked of the outcome of this exploration. 
  • I don't  see any gold nor riches here!
  • They headed back the ship, While they were walking they found a river with catwabs on each side
  • DeSoto met the villiagers and found out were he was, he was in Cofitachequi. Later a women showed them tressures and gave them it. The villigers gave them gold, freshwater pearls, copper, and sheets of mica
  • De Soto stayed in Cofitachequi for 12 days, the army eating most of the food in the province. By this time the people of Cofitachequi had had enough of the Spaniards and were threatening to take action against them. De Soto took the Lady of Cofitachequi hostage. He decided to make his way to a province called Coosa, which he had heard was very rich and might have an adequate supply of corn. The army headed for Coosa, taking along the Lady, along with a contingent of her attendants, as hostage and guide.
