The Whiskey Rebellion was a protest against the taxes being imposed on the people. It lasted 3 years after it began in 1791 and came to an end in 1794. It happened in the western part of Pennsylvania and it was led by James McFarlane who was an American Revolution war veteran.
It was an act signed into law by George Washington and it made a federal court system because the united states needed one at the time and it also allowed congress to make any smaller courts if needed.
