A British Stamp! It's on basically every paper product
Isn't there taxation without representation
TAX ON TEA
-French and Indian War- This war is important because it put the British in very much dept, and in order to pay their dept they had to start taxing the colonists relentlessly. These taxes were the beginning of the colonist rebellion.
WHY DID YOU KILL AN INNOCENT CHILD!
-Stamp Act- This is important because everyone bought paper things, so none of them could get out of the Stamp Act. When they realized everyone was going through this it caused the colonies to realized they all needed to work together to become stronger.
I AM DUMPING IT!
-Townshend Act- This is important because everyone in the colonies were affected when the colonists were taxed on everyday items such as: glass, lead, paper, paint, and tea. All smuggled goods were searched be tax collectors. The people in the colonies reacted in a bad way. They boycotted, woman formed the Daughters Of Liberty, and colonists attacked custom officials and tax collectors in their own homes.
But they don't listen to us!!!!
To The British Parlement
We'll just write another petition
-Boston Massacre- This is important because it was when things got violent during the revolution. To some, this is considered the first battle of the revolution, where the first fatalities were. This led to revolution because after this, there were more battles
-Boston Tea Party- This is important because even though the Sons Of Liberty were the only ones involved in the Boston Tea Party, the British still punished everyone else in Boston for their actions. This is also one in a series of rebellion the colonists have put up against Britain, so it's the start of something.
-First Continental Congress- This is important because the colonies aren't allowed to meet, but they still do in secret because they know they need each other to be strong. This is also significant because now most of them are still on the same page, but the next time they meet there will be lots of conflict between Patriots and loyalist.
