  • It's in 1919, the war of independence begin...There was the british army against the soldier of IRA (the irish republican army)
  • To finish the war was signed, it was called ''the Anglo-Irish treaty''. Some people was for, ''the Free state soldiers'', and others against, ''the Irregulars''.
  • And was this disagreement which created, in april 1922, the Civil war

  • Finally, the real conclusion of this war was in the middle of 1923. The Irregulars, even they had succeded to take the control of the gouvernement building,had surrendered and so lost the war.
  • In Irish between 1919 and 1923, the country has known differents wars. Firstly a independence war and a civil war.
  • The treaty declared the seperation of the Irish.-The south beomes independent (but under the rules of the British)-The north was judged like a part of Great Britain
  • And it's like that, the civil war was finished with, sadly, 100 soldiers was killed on both sides
