  • First day of School in Mater Dei Academy, and Ayen is so excited. What excites her more is her favorite subject, Chemistry.
  • Since Ayen, was a kid, she always dreamt of being a chemist. She's so interested in the field of science. Her ultimate dream is to discover something that may contributed to the field.  
  • Good Morning Class! I'm Professor Jacques and I'm your teacher in Chemistry. Does anyone here familiar with chemistry?
  • ME, sir! I'm so interested in Chemistry, I Idolize Jacques Charles because of his great contribution in the field of science. Can you tell us about him?

  • Today, We'll be talking about the Gas Laws, and first we'll talk about Charles's Law. That explains the directly proportional relationship between Volume and Temperature. Can anyone elaborate?
  • GAS LAWS: - CHARLES'S LAW  - BOYLE'S LAW - GAY-LUSAAC'S LAW
  • Charles's law (also known as the law of volumes) is an experimental gas law that describes how gases tend to expand when heated. Elaborating that in every change in temperature affects the volume.
  • V is the volume of the gas, T is the temperature of the gas (measured in kelvins), k is a constant.
  • This law describes how a gas expands as the temperature increases; conversely, a decrease in temperature will lead to a decrease in volume.

  • The equation shows that, as absolute temperature increases, the volume of the gas also increases in proportion
