  • A great way to learn about a culture is to experience the countries dance. 
  • Did you know that the national dance of Mexico is Folk Dance. 
  • Mexico
  • Mexican Folk Dance although its one of the oldest dance forms in Mexico, which came from their native heritage and ancestors is still common today.  
  • Mexico's different folk dances represents the country's different cultures.
  • Costumes are a regular part of celebrating Mexican traditions.  Women wear very colorful long skirt and hair braided with ribbons.  Man wear a traditional Mexican horseman suit.
  • Mexican folk dance is performed at festivals for major holidays and celebrations, like birthdays and weddings.
  • On September 16th Mexican Independence day is the most celebrated day you will most likely see Mexican folk dance.
