  • Why hello there! I'm from Modern Rhode Island, in fact I will take you to my home!

  • Is this the climate here? Because my place is warm.
  • Rhode Island has a humid climate with cold winters and short summers. The  average annual temperature is 50'F and the average annual precipitation is 45.1 in; snow fall average 35.6 in. An occasional threat are storms and hurrricanes.
  • At Modern Rhode Island. . .
  • Is that Roger Williams?!
  • yup, Roger Williams purchased land from the Narragansett Indians and founded the first permanent white settlement in providence in 1636.
  • What do people do, wear, and eat in Rhode Island?
  • What people do here is the creative community is on full display through special events, intriguing art installations, and creativity premating the state's everyday life.
  • They eat: sea food because people go fishing a lot, Frank is like a hot dog but without bun,clam cakes looks like a muffin but made with clams, Johnnycakes cornmeal pancakes.
  • They drink: coffee milk which is milk with coffee syrup and lemonade.
  • What are the schools like here?
  • In Rhode Island are charter schools which are special schools. Public schools that are free from many local rules, after high school, students from all over the globe sometimes head to Rhode Island's colleges and universities.
  • There are 36 school districts. They have field trips which are related to school work but not always.
  • What holidays, traditions, and cultures does your people have?!
  • There is: National Rhode Island day on October 5th which recognizes the last colony to join the union, Rhode Island independance day May 4th, victory day 2nd Monday of August.
  • Rhode Island day is with dozens of people camp out for the weekend event in authentic revolutionary war-era gear, Black ships festival is activities like Japanese art displays, all kinds of tasty Japanese food, and some martial arts demonstrations.
