Storyboard Description

THIS IS A STORY ABOUT MY EXPERIENCE AS A NEW STUDENT IN THE USA. I WAS IN A PRIMARY SCHOOL THAT HAD K-6TH GRADE. I DID NOT SPEAK ENGLISH AND I HAD TO MAKE NEW FRIENDS. MY ELL AID WAS VERY HELPFUL TO ME AND MY TEACHERS WERE VERY EMPATHETIC. I WAS BULLIED AND CHASTISED FOR NOT BEING A "COOL KID" AND I HAD TO WORK HARD TO BE RESPECTED, LIKED AND ULTIMATELY ACCEPTED. I FOUND THAT I WAS MORE ACCEPTED BECAUSE I MADE THE EFFORT TO INTEGRATE AND MY PARENTS HELPED MY LEARN HOW TO MAKE THE EFFORT. IT WAS EMBARRASSING, INTIMIDATING AND AT TIMES, AWKWARD, BUT I PERSEVERED AND THE EXPERIENCE HELPED SHAPE MY OUTGOING PERSONALITY.
