my name is Ellie, I was only 12 when we got transported me and my family to the concentration camp.
once we got to camp they immediately separated me and my father from my mum and sisters.
as we were at camp my father grew weaker and weaker, they beat him up everyday, but with faith i knew he could make it.
after three weeks we were being transferred to a different camp.As we keep stopping for them to throw any dead bodies out, no food, for ten days, soon they ariive at Buchenwald. A hundred prisoners had gotten on the train—only a dozen get off. Eliezer and his father are among that dozen.
At Buchenwald, Eliezer and his father go to take a hot shower. But there are so many prisoners crowding around the baths that his father goes to lie down in some snow. He says he’s tired and Eliezer can wake him when it’s their turn.Eliezer refuses to let his father sit down and rest because he sees the ground covered in corpses who tried to do just what his dad wants—to rest and give in to death.
After Elie's father died he had to stay in the children's block until April 11, his father died before the camp was liberated
