  • Primary Succession: The first few stages of life building mostly rocks and soil. Secondary Succession: the point where plants start to grow and become a forest. Catastrophic Event: An event which destroys the community. Equillibrim: A state where everything is balanced. Pioneer Species: They are the first species to settle in an environment. Climax Community: This is when the community has reached it's peak. Everything has grown into a mature forest. 
  • Paragraph
  •   First there is nothing but rocks. Then lichin breaks down the rocks into soil. This then starts the secondary succesion. Now the first plants come in and settle. These are called pionoier plants.  After a while the forest srtarts to grow and grow. In the end the forest becomes what is called a mature forest.
