  • Daisy go with Gatsby!
  • “ Ive got my wife locked up in there , “explained George calmly. “She is going to stay there until the day after tomorrow, and then we are going to move away.”
  • Myrtle is locked up in there until we move for having an affair
  • Myrtle Wilson’s body, wrapped in a body, and then in another blanket, as though she suffered from a chill in the hot night lay in the work-table by the wall, and Tom with his back to us was bending over motionless.
  • NOOOO!!!
  • Tom tells Daisy to head back with Gatsby to Long Island. because he is no longer threaten by their relationship. He has basically put an end to it and assumes it is over.
  • A pale well-dressed negro stepped near. “It was a yellow car,” he said. “ A big yellow car. New”
  • Wilson has found out about his wife’s cheating on him. He plans to take her far away to the west, so that this does not happen again.
  • I hadn’t gone twenty yards when I heard my name and Gatsby stepped from between two bushes into the path.

  • Tom is in schock when he discovers his mistress dead on the side of the road. He is very upset and bewildered.
  • “ Was Daisy driving?” “ Yes , “ he said after a moment, “but of course Ill say I was. “
  • Daisy was driving, but i am going to cover for her.
  • A negro comes to the accident and tells the police office that the person who killed Myrtle was driving a yellow car. Gatsby’s car fits this description. This lets the audience and Tom know that it must have been Gatsby who killed Myrtle.

  • It was a yellow car.
  • Gatsby is hiding outside the Buchanan’s house because he want to protect Daisy. Gatsby is afraid that Tom will beat her. Gatsby calls over Nick to talk to him about the accident.
  • Nick asked Gatsby if Daisy was driving. To everyones surprise, it was Daisy who was driving. Gatsby decides to take the blame for her. He loves her so much he is willing to say that he was the one who was driving.
