  • The U.S. policy of Containment is the U.S. trying to stop communism from spreading.

  • The Truman Doctrine is when U.S. sent troops to countries fighting against communism. They were trying to stop it by fighting against it.

  • The Marshall plan is when the U.S. sent billions of dollars to western european countries to help them and prevent them from falling into communism. It's preventing them from turning to communism.  
  • What is the Vietnam war? How is it an example of Containment? 
  • NATO is an alliance group with the non-communist countries. It is a form of containment because they are excluding communism.

  • The Korean war was a war between south and north Korea mainly because South Korea didn't want to go to communism.
