Digestive/Excretory System Project
By Aisha SIddique
Today we are going to look at the digestive and excretory system.
We will discuss these systems of the body using models from the Bangtan Boys.
As we can see in this model, food is first entered through the mouth and chewed by teeth, mainly by the incisors and molars.
The food enters the esophagus and accesses the stomach. Strong acids and juices help digest the food. Liver creates these digestive juices.
While liver creates the digestive juices, the pancreas makes another juice that is shipped to the small intestine.
With these juices in place, the small intestine is able to soften food resulting it to desolve. Once the food is inside the small intestine, it is broken into small molecules that is absorbed form the walls of the intestine to the bloodstream.
Food that is not sucked in from the small intestine goes to the large intestine. All of the water from the food remaining is absorbed there.
Lastly, the large intestine sends waste to the rectum, and it dispatched from the anus.
