Let the Radleys live, mind your own business it's for the best.
Me too Scout
" Jem and I found our father satisfactory:he played with us,read to us,and treated us with courteous detachment". p A lot of people can't read at an early age this shows that Atticus is smart because he's reading to them at an early age.
" He said Atticus never talked much about the Radleys: when Jem would question him Atticus's only answer was for him to mind his own business and let the Radleys mind theirs,". p 13 This shows that Atticus is cautious because he has heard the rumors about the Radley's and he prefers them to stay far.
I will do my best not to fight dad.
"I expect so,said Atticus. Now listen, both of you. Go down and stand in front of the Radley Place. Keep out of the way do you hear?". p92 This shows that Atticus is safe because he doesn't want anything to happen to them.
I pray the best for both of them
"The main one is, if I didn't I couldn't hold up my head in town, I couldn't represent this county in the legislature, I couldn't even tell you or Jem not to do something again".p100 This is Atticus showing bravery because he is doing this case so he can be able to stay in the legislature branch.
I will protect you!
" No matter what anybody says to you, don't let'em get your goat. try fighting with your head for a change...it's a good one, even if it does resist learning".p101 This is showing how Atticus is showing good parenting because he doesn't want scout to get into a fight anymore just because of her skin color.
" I just hope that Jem and Scout come to me for their answers instead of listening to the town. I hope they truth me enough.... Jean Louise". p117 Atticus wants to the best for his kids and he wants them to know the truth about everything.
