All Summer in a Day Short story by Ray Bradbury Presnted by Justin Ahern
On planet Venus where it is always raining and never sunny a student, Margot wishes she can go back to earth so she can be happy again.
All the other children play outside in the rain with their stuff on while Margot doesn't like it. She hates the rain but the other students don't really mind it.
Margot says the sun will come out for a short amount of time very soon as she says it happens every seven years. As a result her classmates don't believe her so they put her in a closet in the school where she can't get out of.
The clouds rolled away and out came the sun the students ran outside and gazed in new looking outdoors and all they did was play and have fun with eachother.
After some time the dreaded clouds came back and it began to pour once again all the students were so upset that they couldn't stay sunny longer. Then they remembered Margot the girl they did not believe and locked away in the closet.
Once the students came back inside they went up to the closet and opened it. Margot was inside and didn't say a word. She was probably so terribly upset she couldn't or didn't want to speak. I think the other students learned a lesson abut what they did.
