In this story Mark (the accountant) and carter his account holder, carter saw mark conducting transactions on his account without his consent. After mark was confronted about the transactions he denied any wrongdoing and said he was doing it on behalf of his client. Carter a 71 year old man does not have the time or the patience to manage his money and hired mark to do it. But in the process mark and carter got into a heated disagreement over whether mark was in the right or not. Carter then decided too fire mark as it violated mark and carters "social contract" stating ," people live together in society in accordance with an agreement that establishes moral and political rules of behavior" In basic terms meaning when carter signed the contract with mark he gave mark control of his funds that did not include making transactions only to monitor them and give his opinion. but mark failed to deliver on his end thus screwing up carters finances and getting caught with his hand in the cookie jar.
