The power supply of the future
This storyboard does not have a description.
Today our studio guest is Julia Beck. She's the MD of a big German electricity company. Welcome to the show!
Thank's for the invite, I'm glad to be here.
We've heard so much about electricity from offshore wind turbines or solar power from the hot regions of the earth, but is it realistic to transmit electricity so far to a country like Germany?
I agree that the way is really far, but there is an alternative way to the HVAC.
Now you've got me interested! Do you perhaps mean rechargeable batteries in every household?
Well, some American companys are working at some systems like that.I mean the HVDC.
That sounds complicated! Can you give our listeners some more details?
For sure, the HVDC is designed to be rechargeable and efficient at the same time. Also it's a alternative way against the HVAC. And the HVDC is less dagerous than the HVAC.
Thanks for the short interview and telling us what the future will bring!
Thank you for giving me the chance, to explain what the future will bring.
