Storyboard Text

  • In act one of The Bards The Tragedy of Macbeth, we met the protagonist Macbeth, the three witches that set the tone for the entire book we also meet Banquo, lady Macbeth, Macduff and King Duncan. We get a prophecy by the witches explaining Macbeth's faith, saying he will be king Macbeth doesnt believe this until the prophecy comes true. Macbeth doesnt want to kill the king, and create conflict to be become king but his wife the antagonist kept forcing him to do so.
  • Act 1
  • In this scene our protagonist finally does what the antagonist has been wanting him to do and agrees to kill King Duncan, so that Macbeth can become king. Macbeth kills Duncan while his gaurd's are asleep, he takes their own daggers and puts king Duncan's blood on it to make it look like they did that horrible deed. After Macbeth is done he cant even look at himself because of how much guilt he has. After this happens strange things start to happen and the people become weary about who really killed Duncan. This adds to the rising action the play.
  • Act 2
  • In act three scene one our protagonist Macbeth hires two murderers to kill Banquo and Fleance so that Banquo's son doesn't take the power like the prophecy said and to not create conflict between Macbeth and Banquo.
  • You both know Banquo was your enemy.
  • It's true my lord.
  • In act 3 scene 2, our protagonist and antagonist are having a conversation. Macbeth is nervous because he thinks people know of all the horrible things he did to become king. Lady Macbeth can tell hes holding something back, she eventually gets it out ofhim and finds out he send hitmen to murder and kill Banquo.
  • We've merely scorched the snake, not killed it. 
  • Whats done is done.
  • The murderers are at the ambush point, then another murderer shows up saying he was sent by the protagonist Macbeth. The conflict escalates when Banquo gets closer they attack their torch goes out and they only killed one, and one got away.
  • O treachery! Fly, good Fleance, fly, fly, fly! Thou may ’st revenge —O slave!
  • Who did strike out the light?
  • In act 3 scene 4,our protagonist has company over, then he gets news that the mission is incomplete and that Banquo is dead but Fleance got away. shortly after he begins to see the ghost of Banquo haunting him. he goes crazy only he can see it no one else. Lady Macbeth tells the guest not to fret "Sit, worthy friends. My lord if offten thus And hath been from his youth."
  • Gentlemen, rise. His highness is not well.
