Storyboard Text

  • It was a beautiful bright sunny day and a mountain goat was trotting along the side of a volcano. The volcano was about to erupt and there was nothing the mountain goat could do.
  • The mountain goat was burried alive by the volcanic ash, very quickly.
  • Over millions of years, materials form on top of the mountain goat, causing it to turn into stone.
  • The volcano eroded away after millions of years.
  • The cells in the fossil are replaced by minerals from layers above.
  • The fossil is complete and has been exposed from the rain.
  • Hey Mom! Look what I found!
  • The fossil was later put in a museum for display.
