Storyboard Text

  • Christian church was very powerful institution in Feudal England.  Played a massive role in decision making and laws.
  • Kings & Queens were the highest human power within the Feudal system. They were in charge of the land and made the laws that the lower class peoples followed.
  • The Lords were given land from the Monarchy and decided who would then be in charge of that land.
  • Did Feudalism Work?
  • Professionals who served the country under the Monarchy. The knights were soldiers to the land and their vassel.
  • Serfs were the lowest class of people. The serfs were not landowners, but the the people whom worked the land. If land was sold, the vassels would stay with that land and continue to work it and farm.
  • Feudalism worked because the people living under the monarchy were so used to the ways that their systems of living worked that no one asked questions or rose above their superiors. If someone steeped out of turn, they were brutally silenced.
