  • The subjunctive is not a tense, but a expression of a feeling or desire. There are also two subjects in a subjunctive sentence.
  • WHAT IS THE SUBJUNCTIVE?
  • It is a mood because it helps us accurately convey how we feel about certain things.
  • WHY IS THE SUBJUNCTIVE A MOOD?
  • To conjugate to the subjunctive, you change verbs to the opposite verb ending in the present tense. AR -> ER and ER, IR -> AR. For example, saltar in the yo form would be salte.
  • HOW DO YOU CONJUGATE TO THE SUBJUNCTIVE?
  • Yo formDar -> dé Estar -> esté Haber -> hayaIr -> vaya Saber -> sepa Ser -> sea
