Storyboard Text

  • By Jonathan Yanez
  • Cellular respiration is the process that cells break down glucose   to make ATP. The process of people and animals that converts food into energy.
  • In cellular respiration it is just a lot of metabolic reactions.
  • A process that takes place in both plant and animal cells.  Oxygen is taken from the air we breathe into our lungs. Oxygen powers mitochondria.
  • Cellular respiration is a term for respiration for breathing.
  • Glucose is taken from the food we eat and is broken down to pyretic acid.
  • Cellular respiration helps cells getting energy from glucose.
  • The pyretic acid goes through membrane, moves into mitochondria the citric acid cycle (krebs cycles).  It releases energy which charges ADP to ATP.
  • Also the cells get energy from glucose and making food like sugar also releasesing the stored energy.
  • Carbon dioxide and water are let out as waste.
  • In cytoplasm of cellular respiration glucose is broken up to smaller molecules.
  • Sugar + Oxygen = Carbon dioxide + water + ATP (energy) H2O CO2 ATP
  • Mitochondria help's molecules to break down even further.
