HI! I am Marlak Dane and I have been a diabetic since I was about 15 (6 years). My life and time after I was diagnosed was consumed mostly by needles, pumps, and checking my blood level.
Now every morning I check my blood sugar by pricking my finger. I'm low, so I will eat 7 carbs My rang is about 70-125. My Certified Diabetic Educator says that it is normal for me to be low in the morning, so I'm not concerned.
I'm feeling very drowsy, so I know that I'm low...47. I'm very low and need to change my omni-pod, now! As sad as it is, there's no time for privacy. I whip out my bag and instantly takeout the old pod, and apply a new one. As my monitor slowly goes back to normal, I hear everyone in the room whispering.
