Dr. Hooke, how was someone able to discover cellular composition of a cork?
Actually, I was the person to discover cellular composition of a cork with the help of the microscope, which magnifies objects the naked eyes can't see.
The microscope allowed me to first introduce what cells were to the world of science and name cells cells because it reminded me of the cell rooms in a monastery.
Wait, so you were the first person to ever discover cells and come up with the word cell itself!
I can't believe I'm meeting the discoverer of cells!
That is so cool!
Also, all of the other scientists' discoveries, like Robert Brown's and mine, are contributed to the Cell Theory, which describes the properties of cells.
