Once upon a time, there was a family of geese. One of the geese, however, was actually a chicken that the Mama Goose took in to raise herself along with her other goslings.
Despite the chicken's differences, he came along with his new family everywhere. Whether the goslings were learning to swim...
I can't do that
...or to fly, the chicken tagged along to the group hoping to be more like them.
One day the chicken said to his family, "How can I be a part of this family if I can't fly, swim, or be like a goose! Surely I must be a let down to you all."
Mama goose waddled over to the chicken and said, "It doesn't matter to us is you're different. Though you may look different, not have webbed feet, and not be able to use your wings for flying, we except you as who you are as a chicken."
From that day forward, the chicken finally felt that he belonged and loved his new family for being there to support him.
