  • Pass me the torch, its not like I'm dancing tonight
  • Are you thinking about Roooooosalineee?
  • Come on, cheer up Romeo! If love be rough with you, be rough with love!
  • Romeo, Mercutio, and Benvolio all go to the Capulet's party, and Romeo is sad due to unrequited love for Rosaline.
  • I've even been dreaming about Rosaline!
  • Throughout the scene, Mercurio tried to cheer Romeo up by making somewhat inappropriate jokes and suggestions, characterizing Mercutio as playful / funny.
  • Queen Mab is this fairy that can control dreams and inspire nightmares and she's why you're dreaming about Rosaline
  • Mercutio demonstrates foil, the rebuttal of an argument, in his quote, "If love be rough with you, be rough with love. Prick love for pricking and you beat love down."
  • I'm only going to see Rosaline

  • Romeo demonstrates a character trait in this scene, as he is hopeless and sad over his unrequited love for Rosaline and cannot think of anything other than her. Romeo is demonstrating how he is a romantic person.
  • In the Queen Mab Speech Mercurio uses literary devices such as alliteration, the repeating of a similar sound at the beginning of a word, in "THrough lovers' brains and THen THey dream of love"
  • The scene ends as the three men reach the Capulet residence.
