Lennie and George are talking about facing the boss when asking for a job. George keeps having to remind Lennie about what they're going to do when they confront the boss. This shows responsibility because George is responsible for Lennie's actions and has to play the parental role.
Lennie and Crooks are at Crooks' house and are talking about George. Crooks was joking around and saying that George got hurt. This made Lennie upset adn started defending George.
George and Lennie are sitting by the river talking about their dream. George tells it one last time to make Lennie hopeful, even though it'll never happen. This shows responsibility because they both look out for each other and George had to do what he did to keep Lennie safe and happy.
