A storm strikes a ship carrying Alonso, Ferdinand, Sebastian, Antonio, Gonzalo, Stephano, and Trinculo, they begin to fear for their lives. Ferdinand ends up washed up on the shore.

Ferdinand wanders off onto the island and explores this new land, unsure of what will happen next, he heads towards the forest after hearing Ariel, a spirit working for Prospero singing.

Ferdinand and Miranda immediately fall in love when they look at each other. Prospero, watches from afar observing Ferdinand.
Meanwhile, Caliban, a native of the island who works for Prospero sees Trinculo and thinks its one of Prospero's spirits sent to torment him. Trinculo gives Caliban alcohol and both of them become drunk. Gonzalo shows up as well.
Ferdinand's father, Alonso, who is the King of Naples, is worried about Ferdinand's whereabouts and questions whether he will be safe or not. However, one of the lords reassures him. Antonio and Sebastien are plotting to kill Alonso.
Prospero eventually warms up to Ferdinand, although his father banished him. He allowed Miranda to marry Ferdinand after he saw them the entire day.
