Kadee O'Hara- "The Necklace" review
4th hour English Grade 9
What's the matter? What's the trouble?
What am i supposed to wear?!
Thank you so much!
"The Necklace" sets place in France in the 1800s.
Wow look how pretty she is!
The exposition of the story is when Mr. Loisel gets invitations to a special event, but Mme .Loisel isn't very happy because she doesn't have a proper evening dress.
Thank you for everything, but I'm afraid i must let you go.
The rising action of the story is when Mme. Loisel borrows a necklace from her close friend Mme. Forestier to wear at the event.
So, the necklace wasn't even real?
No, it was just paste.
The climax of the story is when Mme. Loisel goes to the event and has a great time to later find out she lost the necklace when she leaves.
Mrs. Loisel is a round character because she had to face the challenge of replacing the necklace which changed her. For example, she had to fire her maid to save money so she was doing all the housework.
The resolution of the story is that after Mme. Loisel spent all those years working to pay enough money to replace the necklace, Mme. Forestier’s necklace was paste. This leads me to the conclusion that the theme of this story is beauty isn’t fortune.
