  • Yes...Issac...your first child and his children.
  • FOLLOW ME!!!
  • The Second and best Ruler: King David
  • And Lastly: King Solomon
  • The First Ruler: King Saul
  • 1900 B.C = Jewish history started Abraham who was a descendant of Adam and Eve. He had a strong connection with the Lord where God selected him to become one of the Patriarchs of the Jewish faith and changed his name from Abram to Abraham. He had a wife and a son named Issac. At one point, God wanted Abraham to kill his only son to test his loyalty but quickly withdrew that idea as he watch Abraham almost kill his son. Time passes, Issac had two sons, one named Jacob who had twelve sons who spread and created the twelve tribes of Israel.
  • We can rebuild Jerusalem and our precious Temple!
  • I am King Cyrus, under my command you shall return to the Kingdom that was once yours.
  • Well, we celebrate Hanukkah to honour our ancestors who fought in the the Maccabean War and won our independence back from the Greeks!
  • Sadly between 1500-1290 B.C, the Israelite's suffered exodus in Egypt. Suddenly Moses, the most important Hebrew Prophet, led the Israelite's within Egypt out; God instructed Moses to do so through a burning bush while he tended his sheep.  This event was called the covenant which the Yahweh (God) formed at Mount Sinai. The Israelite's established themselves in Canaan which was the Promise Land God promised them. But instead of being free at last, They realized they weren't the only people in the promise land, so they fought for their land back.
  • Mama, why do we celebrate Hanukkah?
  • Eight of the candle represents the amount of days the lantern blazed within the great Temple that they rebuilt after returning to their land!
  • Israel soon formed a Kingdom which was first ruled by King Saul who was chosen with the help prophet Samuel. who was a brave soldier and but had  a fairly weak personality. He lived a life full of battles which was not a lifestyle of God and many of his people were against that. Once God noticed his displeased children, He chose another king who was David.
  • In 538 B.C, the Persians defeated the the Babylonians and the Jews that were exiled returned to their Kingdom under King Cyrus's commands. Soon they rebuilt their great temple and Jerusalem. Temple priests and scribes led the Jews as they lacked government. 
  • The Greek Empire decided to branch out and obtained both Israel and Judah while renaming it "Palestine". Ruled by an Egyptian general until the Romans defeated the Greeks in a navy battle. Maccabean War comes into play as the Jews want independence and rebelled against the Greeks.  With their success, the Jewish holiday "Hanukkah" was born.
  • Sadly after the Greeks were defeated, the Romans came into power and the Jews were trapped once again. Wanting independence again, a group named "Zealots" led a rebellion but to no success. Struggling to be free, they turned towards to religion and valued Rabbi heavily. Time traveling to 1948, the division of Palestine comes into play and Israel, a new country, is born.
  • When will we be free again???
