The United States decided that all Native Americans were to be moved west of the Mississippi River.
I can order the Cherokees out, sir.
I believe we need the Native's land. They have gold and we are expanding. They can be relocated west of the Miss. RIver.
Of course, many were not going to give up their land so easily. The Seminoles fought 3 years worth to keep their territory.
I don't know.. but we shouldn't leave without putting up a fight.
Why are we being driven out?! Where are we going?
But unfortunately, the Natives couldn't hold up for a fight long enough and eventually were forced out.
Native Americans were forced to go along the Trail of Tears. Life was hard on the trail due to them traveling during winter.
Unfortunately, as many 4,000 Cherokees died on the trail due to hunger and disease.
Native American life was never the same. Population rapidly decreased from many different things and receiving bad land.
I miss our old home.
