Talking about what's going to happen with "Sixty Minutes"
Jason has been in a coma for 5 days, and his mother has been sitting next to him every hour of the 5 days since the accident, not leaving his side. She talked constantly, recommended in the manner to the relatives of the patients. All of a sudden, she fell asleep from the exhaustion. All of a sudden, Jason woke up above his body. He was paralysed from the neck down! He saw an old guy, was he an angel? He didn't look like an angel, he wore a blue and green checked shirt, faded jeans and white leather joggers. He looked quite ordinary. Jason asked "Who are you?" He was surprised that he could talk.
About to go back in time
The old guy replied with "We have no need of names from where I come from, but if you need to call me anything I'd prefer Gabriel or Charlie" He scratched his hand through his beard and said "I am an angel". "What are you doing here?" Jason asked. "You are dying. It's my job to prepare you for Eternity." The angel replied Jason cut in. 'What did you mean when you said, "It is my job to prepare you for Eternity"? ' 'Y-You mean I'm a ghost!?' Jason almost screamed at the thought. 'We don't like to use that word... Too much negativity. Ghosts are... well, you really don't want to know. My job is to make you comfortable with the idea of Eternity."
Jason back in time
Comfortable?' 'Yes, I am here to answer your questions, help you with your needs...' He continued. "That's why we came up with the sixty minutes program" "Sixty Minutes!" You mean... ' No, not the prime current affairs and ticking stop watches. This program has been around since before TV, about a million years actually. It's also more entertaining.' The angel sat on the bed, and Jason drifted a little closer to the ceiling to accommodate him. As he did so, he caught sight of his mother, sleeping in the chair beside the bed. Her head had drifted forward, and her magazine was laying on the floor in front of her.
Back in real time
That had probably been the best sleep she's gotten ever since Rachael's death, 7 years before. He looked down at his own body. Now she'll be all alone. "It's quite simple, really." "Sixty Minutes" allows you to start forever in the possible frame of mind.' He paused. 'How?' 'Well? how does it help me start Forever in the best possible frame of mind?' 'elementary, my dear Jason. we let you relive the best hour of your life. And he was back, in the unthinking rage that only a ten year old can feel. Rachael, tossing her blonde curls imperiously.
'Well, mum said I could, so you can't stop me!!!' 'I wish I never had a sister. I wish...I wish you were dead!' There was a small flicker behind his sisters eyes. She turned her heel, and made for the front door. He called out to her. 'Rachael! I was joking, I didn't mean it! I'm glad I have a sister, I love you.' 'I know silly!' then she turned, ran out the door and didn't see the car coming, but Jason ran out in front of her and the car hit him instead. He curled up into a ball on the side of the road, and must've passed out.
All of a sudden, it was back to the real day. Jason found himself in a wheelchair, and he could barely move. There was a piano, and pictures of him and a girl on the wall. He realised they were pictures of Rachael. He looked up and saw Rachael walking towards him. 'I'll see you later Jason!' she smiled and hugged him as she walked out the door.
