Story of a young girl living in a poor village who is of royal descent, that eventually overthrows the tyranny of Khmer.

Storyboard Text

  •         Within the small village of the Kandal Province, lay mountainous pillars of ancestral shrines, and young curious minds. Afloat the Srepok River, sunlight streams down poor souls who ever dared look twice at the tyranny of Pol Pot and the Kampuchea of Khmer. Despite rivers cleaving lands into two, a young girl, Chanthou, collects water optimistically. "Education is water now allow the replenishment" is what her Yey always taught her. And so, accompanying her, a-r-ki-de flowers, blooming in lavender.  Chanthou, unlike the other village girls, held her head high, and spent her nights determining to read and write. She did not want to become someone's wife.
