  • The British will NOT interfere with us again!
  • To start out, president James Monroe decided that his country needs protection from other countries. Except he also decided that he wanted to pair up with Latin America.
  • We need to turn back! The lands are highly guarded!
  • On December 2nd, 1823, James Monroe proclaimed the Monroe Doctrine. It also protected Latin American. Was important because it warned European powers not to interfere in the affairs of the Western Hemisphere.
  • We Protected our country!
  • To add on, the United States did not invoke it nor oppose British occupation of the Falkland Islands in 1833 or subsequent British encroachments in Latin America. And to stop the British from taking over America
  • For now on, we will Not interfere with America so we will not be harmed
  • So when the British wanted to Interfere with the U.S, they couldn't because the land was highly guarded.
