Storyboard Text

  • a midnight dreary, while I pondered, weak and weary, Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore, While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping, As of some one gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door. "'Tis some visitor," I muttered, "tapping at my chamber door-                  Only this, and nothing more."
  • the man is talking to whomever he thinks is at the door
  • "sir" said I "Madam" truly your forgiveness I implore. But that I was napping and so faintly you came tapping at my chamber door, that I scarce was sure I heard you, hear I opened wide the door. Darkness there and nothing more
  • tap,tap,tap
  • "Nevermore"
  • Tell me what thy name lordly name is
  • Nevermore
  •  the Raven still beguling all my fancy into smiling, Straight I wheeled a cushioned seat in front of bird, and bust and door; Then upon the velvet sinking, I betook myself to linking Fancy unto fancy, thinking what this ominous bird of yore- What this grim, ungainly, ghastly, gaunt and ominous bird of yore                  Meant in croaking "Nevermore."
  • Nevermore
  • "Be that word our sign in parting, bird or fiend," I shrieked, upstarting- "Get thee back into the tempest and the Night's plutonia shore! Leave no black plume as a token of that lie thy soul hath spoken! Leave my loneliness unbroken!- quit the bust above my door! Take thy beak from out my heart, and take thy form from off my door!"                  Quoth the Raven, "Nevermore."
  • Nevermore
  • Nevermore
  • the Raven, never flitting, still is sitting, still is sitting On the pallid bust of pallas just above my chamber door; And his eyes have all the seeming of a demon's that is dreaming, And the lamp-light o'er him streaming throws his shadow on the floor; And my soul from out that shadow that lies floating on the floor                 Shall be lifted- nevermore!
