In the exposition, all of the citizens are waiting for Caesar to return. The citizens are excited for his return, for he has been gone a while. They get yelled at for standing around and not working.

Cassius wants Brutus to help kill Caesar to make his murder seem like a good idea. Cassius manipulates Brutus to join the conspiracy to kill Caesar. It takes many tries to convince him, but Brutus is eventually swayed.
Thou shalt see me at philippi
Caesar is warned by multiple people and is even sent omens by the gods, but Caesar ignores warnings of his death and goes to the capitol. He is killed by the conspirators.
After Brutus's speech at Caesar's funeral which was short, and was him defining his actions the whole time Antony also gives a speech at the funeral that sprouts a mob and ideas of war.
A war breaks out and During the war Brutus is visited by Caesar's ghost, and is told he will die at the battle of Philippi. He becomes erratic and concerned asking others that were asleep at the time if they saw Caesar's ghost.
The play concludes with a battle that is won by Brutus, but they think it is won by the apposing side causing his colleges to kill themselves rather than being taken. When Brutus hears this information he also kills himself.
