The Most Dangerous Game
Exposition Rainsford is on a boat heading to Rio with Whitney and they pass an island that all sailors fear.
Rising Action Rainsford hears a gun shot in the forest so he stands on the side of the boat and falls into the water. This leads to Rainsford swimming to the shore and coming upon General Zaroffs chateau.
Climax General Zaroff tells Rainsford about the game he plays (that has to do with the murder of people) and then Zaroff asks if Rainsford "wants to go hunting"
Falling Action Rainsford decides to take on the challenge of "hunting," and hides from General Zaroff in the woods for three days.
Resolution Rainsford wins and beats the General back to the house. Then, you can infer that Rainsford shot the General and the book ends with, "He had never slept in a better bed, Rainsford decided."
