Storyboard Text

  • Beginning : Childlike
  • Middle : Transitioning
  • End : Adultlike
  • ¨I was still child enough to scamper along with the group over rickety fences and through bushes that toreour already raggedy clothes, back to where MIss Lottie lived.¨
  •     ¨Lizabeth was just so frustrated and angered on how her mother was never there, the hopelessness of their poverty and degradation, the bewilderment of being neither child nor women.¨This is when Lizabeth pulls, tramples, and destroys Mrs. Lottie's marigolds. After this she realizes she made a big mistake and breaks out in tears.
  • In the end, Lizabeth finally understands that the marigolds were meant to be a symbol of hope and now as a adulthood she has planted some of her own in Mrs. Lottie's memory.
