The Finch family lives In a town called Maycomb. In the 1930s, a time of depression, the Finch family is not struggling, Atticus is a lawyer. The story Is about prejudice, racism, and justice.
A black man Is accused of raping white women, and Atticus is to defend him. This is not easy he has to get by, with all the prejudice from the people of Maycomb against Tom Robinson.
Atticus's children become the center of attention In Maycomb for his father is defending a black man, throughout the story they learn about justice, commitment, and whats right.
Tom is found guilty, Atticus's children could not believe that the town would send an innocent man to the electric chair.
Bob Ewell disapproval of Atticus has become well known. During the move, he threatens the children and Tom's wife. The children fear that he will hurt their father.
In the end, Bob goes after Atticus's children. Their neighbor Boo Radley come after him and save the children, and he kills Bob Ewell.
