In a pleasant forest, just outside of a small town, Sweetsong and her cat, Snowball were enjoying the sunny day. "Why did you want to come here again?" Snowball whined, "I'm trying to clean myself, but water keeps hitting my fur!" Sweetsong replied, "Lighten up, Snowball! Today is a beautiful day and we should be enjoying it." She loved the forest, but also wanted Snowball to enjoy himself. She thought about different places to go, such as a park or an open field, but decided on a cliff a few hours away.
In a cave deep in the woods, a spirit-like creature and her snake were creating a plan. The spirit, named Pinks, wanted to enact her revenge on Sweetsong. Sweetsong and Snowball didn't know this, but they were one of the reasons why she lost her body. "What should we do," she asked her pet, "should we surprise her?" Her pet, Lucy, hissed. Lucy forgot he couldn't speak and felt embarrassed. Pinks suddenly had an idea. She would find out where her enemy was and ruin her life.
Lucy remembered from earlier that Sweetsong was planning to visit the cliff, but had no clue how to tell Pinks. Pinks noticed how restless Lucy was and asked, "Do you need to go somewhere, Lucy?" Lucy nodded and started to leave the cave. Pinks followed him, curious about where he was going in such a rush. Eventually, they made it to the cliff and Pinks understood what Lucy wanted.
Snowball fell asleep while Sweetsong tried to enjoy the view. "This sucks," Sweetsong thought to herself, "I wish it wasn't raining." Snowball had completely given up on enjoying himself and she felt bad about it. Meanwhile, Pinks was about to attack. She had decided to scare Sweetsong and make her fall off of the cliff. Pinks shrieked and ran at Sweetsong, which scared Snowball, but had no effect on her target. Sweetsong just looked a bit confused until she realized someone was about to fall off of the cliff.
Snowball jumped up and hurried out of the way as Pinks ran. Sweetsong jumped up and grabbed Pinks just as she started falling. "What in the world is wrong with you?" Sweetsong cried, terrified, "Why did you do that?" Pinks panicked and quickly explained everything. She begged, "Please don't let me fall," she looked down and shuddered, "I hate falling so much." Sweetsong, being the forgiving person she is, helped Pinks up. They all left the cliff together to talk.
As they all walked and talked, they slowly became closer. Snowball was able to translate what Lucy was saying for everyone. Sweetsong decided that all past grudges would be forgotten. Pinks pretended to go along with it all. "Lucy said that he's glad we're all friends now," Snowball purred,"so am I!" Sweetsong calmly added, "We're all excited to be friends now." In reality, they would never truly be friends. Their fate is sealed to forever hate each other.
