  •  Hey! David long time no see eh?
  • I know Shane nearly three months.
  •  And you've grown a lot like a lot during the summer.
  • Yeah it has something to do with me reaching puberty where my hormone secretion  is a lot. Especially my human growth hormone that is responsible for my growth is at its peak during my puberty years
  • So how does this hormone thing work?
  • Well for starters I should probably tell you where it is secreted from. The human growth hormone is secreted by the anterior pituitary gland. Its main job is stimulate the growth and cell regeneration.
  • So how does this hormone thing work?
  • I have no idea what he is saying.
  • The hypothalamus secretes a growth hormone releasing hormone (GHRH) that targets the anterior pituitary gland stimulating it in to secreting the growth hormone. The growth hormone targets fat cells, stimulating them into breaking down triglycerides and inhibit them form accumulating lipids.

  • That is a lot of info.
  • The growth hormone also targets the liver, stimulating into secreting IGF-1 - a hormone that is responsible in promoting growth within the body by targeting the cartilage and osteoclasts on the bones. This is regulated by a negative feedback loop in which the concentration of IGF-1 in the blood will lead to decreased secretion of GH and also trigger the release of somatastin that inhibits the release of GH from the somatotrophs (cell that release GH.)

The growth hormone knows as somatotropin targets fat cells, stimulating them into breaking down triglycerides and inhibit them form accumulating lipids.
  • Well that was good I guess? But anyways I got to go now. SEE YA AROUND!!
  • Yeah see ya around.
