Cloning is when you propagate (an organism or cell) as a clone. Basically, cloning cloning is just making an identical copy of something
When people clone something they take a somatic cell (for example: a skin cell) from the animal they want to clone. Once they take that mature somatic cell they place it into the other animals DNA inside an egg cell or oocyte that has already had its DNA nucleus removed.
How does cloning work?
Why do we clone?
DNA...sound familiar? It should because we all know what DNA is or somewhat of what it is.
DNA, also known as, deoxribonucliec acid, is the genetic code that sums up all the characteristics of a living thing
- Cloning for medical purposes - Cloning to revive endangered/extinct species - Reproducing a dead pet
