  • In 1824, Andrew Jackson won the popular vote against John Quincy Adams but fell short of enough of votes in the Electoral College to win the election. The final result was decided by the House of Representatives, who chose John Quincy Adams. Jackson and his supporters were mad because they thought Adams and Henry Clay made a corrupt bargain because Henry Clay was later chosen as Adam's Secretary of State.

  • John Quincy Adam is our new President!!!
  • While Andrew Jackson was the president, he replaced all the government employees to his supporters so that they will be in favor of him in every decision he makes.

  • The Indian Removal act allowed the government to make Native Americans leave their land for land in the west. The Cherokees were the only tribe that refused to move and they sued Georgia for making them do so.
