  • Proclamation of 1763
  • We worked hard for this land and now the king is saying we have to give it back!
  • Stamp Act 1765
  • Are you kidding me! I have to pay taxes for all my paper goods.
  • Boston Massacre 1770
  • You idiots killed our people!!
  • Back off!!!
  • Colonists felt betrayed that the king drew a line along the Appalachian mountains because they felt that they deserved the land for helping fight off the french.
  • Boston Tea Party 1773
  • Yeah!!
  • The king made colonist pay taxes for paper goods in order to pay off the French and Indian war.
  • Intolerable Acts 1774
  • This is Boston's punishment : -Town meetings are prohibited -The Boston legislature will no longer meet up -Boston's port to all business is closed -Boston will be put under military rule and citizens must house British soldiers 
  • An argument with the soldiers that were stationed to keep peace in Boston resulted in 5 colonists deaths.

  • Parliament rejected every request made by the first continental congress. On April 9, there was a stand-off between British soldiers and the colonial minutemen. After this blood bath the American Revolution begun. The colonists prepared to fight England, the most powerful nation in the world.
