The Battle had been a disaster for the Armada. They fled North and Duke of Medina Sidonia decided the only way to escape was to go around Scotland and Ireland then escape to France. However, Spanish had no maps and little knowledge of this area. This weather gave a tremendous fall to the Spanish and battered the Armada. 65 ships were sunk on the Irish Coast
Only 60 ships were able to make it through the tough weather and made it back to Spain! This is the fall of the Great Spanish Armada to becoming The Small Spanish Armada! - What a disaster for poor old King Phillip.
