it is when the rate of the forward reaction is equal to the rate of the reverse reaction (if it is reversible)
Good morning class, today we are going to learn about equilibrium
Saturated solution: - solvent has reached its max holding capacity of solute at that temp-undissolved solid remains in flask- dissolved solute is in dynamic equilibrium with solid solute particles.
How do you calculate equilibrium, then?
Easy, you just use this formula:Kc=[C]c[D]/[A]a[B]b
C & D are products, c & d are how many moles of products you have
A & B are reactants, a & b are how many reactants you have
Which stands for Initial, Change, and Equilibrium concentration
Very good, you can also use the ICE box
You substitute in the values you know, and calculate
